According to an article published in The Hindu Business Line on 2nd July, APTRANSCO received offers for setting up 418 MW capacity Solar PV plants in response to the state’s solar bidding. These offers were received from 35 bidders who accepted the solar purchase price at Rs. 6.49/unit. As per this article, Letters of Intent (LOI) have been issued to 21 bidders (contributing to 144 MW) and for the remaining 14 bidders, letters are underway. The original article published in The Hindu Business Line can be accessed here.
These responses for 418 MW denote a 68 MW capacity increase from the previously received responses for 350 MW (Source: The Hindu Business Line, 6th June). Of those 350 MW capacity responses received from 34 bidders, only 7 bidders (contributing to 53 MW) had accepted the price without any conditions and acceptance for the remaining 297 MW was subject to conditions.
