MNRE – Deployment of Renewable Energy systems as on 30.06.13

by Harini

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released information on the Cumulative deployment of various Renewable Energy systems/ devices in the country as of 30th June, 2013.

According to this information, the Total Grid Interactive power from renewable energy deployed up to 30th June, 2013 is 28.71 GW of which 0.26 GW was deployed during June. The total target capacity to be met for the year 2013-14 is 4.32 GW and of this only 0.63 GW* has been deployed so far. At the present rate of deployment it seems unlikely to meet this target capacity. The target capacity for Solar PV for 2013-14 is 1.1 GW of which only 0.07 GW has been deployed so far.

*This number has been miscalculated as 0.566 GW on the MNRE website
