Chhattisgarh – RfP for 50 MW Grid Connected Solar PV

Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) released a RfP document for procurement of 50 MW Solar Power for long term from grid connected Solar PV power projects through a tariff based competitive bidding process. Given below are some important points from this document. Capacity: Total capacity – 50 MW Minimum bid capacity 2 MW and maximum 50 MW  in multiples of 2 MW capacity Tariff and PPA: Bidders should quote single tariff for 20 years  PPA will be signed for 20 years with CSPDCL for power procurement After 20 years the agreement can be renewed with CSPDCL for further 5 years at the then prevailing APPC Financial Criteria: Net worth – Rs. 3.50 Crore/ MW for capacity up to 25 MW Additional net worth of Rs. 2.50 Crore/ MW for every MW beyond 25 MW Bank Guarantees: Bid bond – Rs. 20 Lacs /MW of offered capacity Contract performance guarantee – Rs. 75 Lacs / MW to be submitted within 15 days of issue of Letter of Intent Bidding …

Rajasthan – Final RfP for 50 SPV plants (1MW each)

After releasing the draft RfP for selection of developers for setting up 50 Solar Photovoltaic projects each of 1 MW capacity earlier in June, Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC) has recently issued the final RfP for the same. Bihar once again extends the last date for 150 MW Solar PV bid

Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited (BSPHCL) has again extended the last date for sale, submission and opening of bids for setting up 150 MW Grid connected Solar PV projects coupled with Pisci-culture. This announcement was made on their website in Corrigendum-V. With this extension, Bihar has extended the last date four times since the Tender was initially announced in May, 2013. The pre-bid meeting was held on 1st June, 2013 and original date for opening of the technical bid was 28th June. The details of the original RfP are available here. Bihar – Another Extension of Last Date for it’s 150 MW Solar PV Bid

Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited (BSPHCL) has once again extended the last date for Setting up of Grid Connected Solar PV Projects coupled with Pisci-culture. Following this, on 16th September BSPHCL released Corrigendum No. IV extending the last date further to 25th September. Karnataka 130 MW Solar bidding – Financial bids opened

The financial bids for Karnataka’s 130 MW capacity Solar bidding were opened on 19th August. The RFP for this solar bidding was released in March and as per this RFP, a bidder can propose to set up a minimum of 3 MW and maximum of 10 MW capacity solar plant. This is a reverse bidding process wherein a bidder has to bid for a discount in Rupees/kWh on Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (KERC) approved applicable tariff. Effective tariff will be payable by ESCOM to the successful bidders after applying this discount in tariff. Further details on this RFP are available in our blogpost here. As per the results of the opening of financial bids announced on the Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. (KREDL) website, Sun Pharma Medication Private Limited quoted the lowest effective tariff – Rs.5.51/unit for a proposed capacity of 10 MW. Bihar – Further extension of last date for its 150 MW Solar PV bid

After conducting a Pre-Bid meeting on 1st June, Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited (BSPHCL) released Corrigendum No. II with responses to the clarifications/queries raised during the meeting. This document also mentioned the extension of the last date for online sale of tender document to 14th August and date of opening of Technical bid to 16th August. On 14th August, BSPHCL released Corrigendum No. III announcing further extension of the last date. Punjab 300 MW Solar PV bidding – Letter of Awards issued to 26 developers

In response to the RfP for setting up 300 MW Solar PV projects, Punjab opened its financial bids earlier in June and a total of 251 MW capacity bids were opened. WAA Solar was awarded L1 for two projects in Category – I (1 to 4 MW) and Azure Urja Pvt. According to an article published in Business Standard today, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has handed over Letter of Awards (LoA) to 26 developers for setting up 250 MW solar PV projects having joint investment of Rs. 2500-3000 crore. He also mentioned at a function organised by Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) that they are looking at the possibility of setting up a mega solar park to promote clean energy on a large scale (Source: Business Standard). Bihar 150 MW Solar PV bidding Update – Extension of last date

In May this year, Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited (BSPHCL) issued an RfP for the development of 150 MW Solar PV projects on Chaur lands where pisci-culture shall be undertaken. Details of this RfP are available here. Following the pre-bid meeting conducted on 1st June, 2013, BSPHCL issued Corrigendum No.II with responses to clarifications/queries raised by the bidders at the pre-bid meeting. Rajasthan – Draft RfP for 50 SPV projects (1 MW each)

Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC) has issued a draft RfP to undertake the selection of solar power producers for setting up of 50 Projects each of 1 MW capacity to be connected at 11kV voltage level to nearest 33/11kV GSS of Discom(s). This proposal for setting up 50 SPV projects through competitive bidding process is as per clause 5.1.7 (ii) of Rajasthan Solar Energy Policy, 2011. Punjab 300 MW Solar PV bidding – Update

Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) issued an RfP in March for new grid connected Solar PV projects with an aggregate capacity of 300 MW (RfP document can be accessed here). Following this, the techno-commercial bids were opened on May 7th, 2013. It has been reported that PEDA received total bids for 270 MW with more than 30 companies having participated in this bidding process. (Source: Daily Punjab Times) Earlier today, PEDA issued a notice stating that the financial bids of the techno-commercially qualified bidders would be opened on 14th June, 2013 at 11.30 am. Also mentioned in this notice are the names of the techno-commercially qualified bidders for both Category – I (1 to 4 MW) and Category – II (5 to 30 MW).
